Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI)

QQI is an independent state agency that ensures quality and accountability in education and training in Ireland. Most of our programmess are certified by QQI. QQI awards are recognised nationally and internationally within the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), a 10-level system that describes qualifications in the Irish education and training system. It shows the main qualifications at each level and how you can move from one level to the next. The NFQ helps you compare qualifications so you can choose a programme or course that will be recognised both in Ireland and abroad.

ICDL is an international organisation dedicated to improving digital skills in the workforce, education, and society. Their certification programmes are offered through a network of Accredited Test Centres. We have an Accredited Test Centre at the Garrycastle Campus in Athlone. This centre helps individuals and organisations assess, develop, and certify their computer and digital tool skills to the globally recognised ICDL standard.
