Our Connolly campus is located next to the historic Connolly Barracks in Longford. Our campus is easily accessible; learners can access campus from either Church Street or Battery Road. We provide opportunities for school leavers and adult learners to enhance their employment opportunities, progress to further study or new skills.

Our on-site facilities are available to all learners; these include a fully equipped clinical room for healthcare and nursing learners, a new barista hub, state of the art computer suites and classrooms, beauty treatment rooms, school of engineering technology, horticulture garden and a fully equipped kitchen for catering courses.

Clonown Road Campus

WELCOME TO THE CLONOWN CAMPUS

Our Clonown Road Campus is located in a popular residential area on the west side of Athlone. It is only a short walk from the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, Athlone town centre and amenities. Our on-site facilities are available to all learners; these include computer suites, classrooms, a beauty treatment room, an engineering workshop and a fully equipped kitchen. Our dedicated team at Clonown Road Campus strives to meet the needs of every learner. We aim to create a safe learning environment, so learners can grow, succeed and achieve.

COURSE TYPE

We provide a wide range of courses in education and training at QQI Level 1 to QQI Level 5. These include basic education programmes such as getting started with: Reading and Writing, Spelling and Grammar and English Language. Computer courses for all levels, Career Preparation, Driver Theory Preparation. Advanced courses in Payroll, Bookkeeping and Engineering. We also offer VTCT accreditation (Hair and Beauty) and Cambridge English.

WELCOME TO THE GARRYCASTLE CAMPUS

Welcome to the Garrycastle Campus, formerly known as the Athlone Training Centre. We offer a wide range of programmes across all industry sectors on a full-time, part-time, evening, online and blended basis. Our emphasis is on the creation and provision of training courses which deliver practical skills and competencies, matched to the needs of local and national industry with clearly defined measurable outcomes. In Garrycastle Campus, courses will be delivered in a training environment that replicates the workplace and is equipped to the best industry standard. Training undertaken by learners is a hands on approach to learning, with tasks and project work linked to defined outcomes with incremental levels of complexity.

Apprenticeship

APPRENTICESHIPS

An apprenticeship is two to four years in duration. It is an earn as you learn programme with staged phases – some in training and minimum 50% on the job learning. Some qualifications lead to an award at Levels 5 to 10 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). Apprentices are recruited by an employer and then registered to SOLAS by LWETB.

LWETB Enterprise Engagement Unit works with employers and enterprises to support them in ensuring their businesses can keep space in an ever-changing environment. We can also work with companies to develop flexible bespoke and tailored training solutions for their individual needs.

Garrycastle Campus is an approved Test Centre for Pearson Vue, Certiport and City & Guilds. Testers have access for professional licensure and certification exams with on-site instructor to support registration, exam scheduling and logistics.

WELCOME TO THE MILLMOUNT PLC CAMPUS

Millmount PLC Campus is part of the Longford and Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWETB) College of Further Education and Training.  It is a popular choice for early school leavers and adults who wish to pursue their education in Mullingar. The campus provides a wide variety of Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) courses.

PLC courses are for people who have completed their Leaving Certificate and for adults returning to education. Courses are full-time and last one to 2 years. PLC courses offer an alternative route to higher education and can give you the opportunity to try out a subject of interest to you. We offer courses include Beauty Therapy, Business Studies with Digital Media Marketing , Pre Accounting Technician, Community Health Services and so much more.

WELCOME TO THE MARLINSTOWN CAMPUS

Marlinstown Campus is located in Block A, Marlinstown Business Park, just outside Mullingar town. Our campus is easily accessible from the main N4 / N52 intersection.

Our Campus offers classes in Reading, Writing and spelling, Beginner and Improver Computers, English Language, Everyday Maths, Mosaic, Sewing and Horticulture.  

We offer QQI accreditation at levels 1-3, but our main aim is to provide a safe, comfortable learning space for learners who may be nervous.  We have a team of skilled, friendly tutors who will put you at ease and make learning a good experience for you.

We have a canteen and students can get involved in coffee mornings and enjoy educational trips as the social element to learning is very much a part of the campus.

WELCOME TO THE dELVIN CAMPUS

The Youthreach programme on our Delvin campus provides education and training for young people  aged between 15-20 years, we offer a range of learning opportunities, certified at QQI levels 3 – 5. Our campus is located on the main street in the heart of Delvin village. Learners come to us from surrounding towns and villages, a radius of approx. 20 miles. Our campus is easily accessible; the local bus route passes our front door. Our comfortable and modern facility includes a large kitchen, IT room, Art room, and general learning rooms. Our staff provide a learning environment where learners can excel academically and socially in safe and secure surroundings. We try to ensure that learners enjoy their time here and depart with more knowledge, skills and confidence, to enable them to continue their educational journey, progression to further education, an apprenticeship, or employment. Our learners receive training and travel allowances. We offer work experience placements and study laptops with access to Office 365.

WELCOME TO THE KILBEGGAN CAMPUS

Our campus is located in the Midlands Gateway Business Park in Kilbeggan and walking distance of the town. We help young adults return to education and prepare for employment and adult life.

Our campus delivers a blended learning programme, providing young adults in Kilbeggan and neighbouring towns the opportunity to get certified qualifications. We offer QQI Courses at levels 3, 4 and 5, which will demonstrate competence to a potential employer and / or enable the learner to access third level qualifications. Our learners study modules including maths, history, IT, communication, cooking and entrepreneurial skills; plus a range of extra-curricular activities.

Our dedicated team at Kilbeggan campus strives to meet the needs of every learner. Their aim is to create a learning environment, which challenges learners to excel academically, while building their self-esteem and developing social skills.

Our spacious and modern facility includes a large kitchen, IT Room and general learning suites. Learners in our Youthreach Programme are entitled to a training allowance and additional allowances for meal, travel and accommodation is available.

Our Granard Campus offers a variety of life-long education options to anyone over the age of 16 years old. We offer a broad range of part-time courses, in the areas of general education, literacy, languages, creativity and community education.

Enjoy life-long learning in a friendly and welcoming environment. We offer the Back to Education Initiative, aimed to give learners an opportunity to combine returning to learning with family, work and other responsibilities.
