Our Connolly campus is beside the Connolly Army Barracks in Longford. It’s easy to get to — you can come in from Church Street or Battery Road. We help both young people and adults learn new skills. They can get ready for a job, or go on to further study. 

 Our on-site facilities includes a fully equipped clinical room for healthcare and nursing learners, a new barista hub, computer suites and classrooms, beauty treatment rooms, engineering workshop, horticulture greenhouse and a fully equipped kitchen for catering courses.

Welcome to Clonown Road Campus

Clonown Road Campus is only a short walk from the Shamrock Lodge Hotel and Athlone town centre. 

Our campus is available to all learners. It has computers rooms, a beauty treatment room, an engineering workshop and a fully equipped kitchen. 

Our team at Clonown Road Campus aims to meet the needs of every learner. We aim to create a safe learning environment, so learners can grow, succeed and achieve.

Course Type

We offer lots of different courses from QQI Level 1 to QQI Level 5. These include beginner courses like Reading and Writing, Spelling and Grammar. We also have computer courses for all levels, Career Preparation, and Driver Theory Preparation. For those who want to learn more, we have advanced courses in Payroll, Bookkeeping, and Engineering. We also offer VTCT certificates for Hair and Beauty and Cambridge English courses.

Garrycastle Campus

Welcome to Garrycastle Campus

Garrycastle Campus is formerly known as the Athlone Training Centre. We offer a wide range of programmes across all industry sectors on a full-time, part-time, evening, online and blended basis. 

Our emphasis is on the creation and provision of training courses which deliver practical skills and competencies, matched to the needs of local and national industry with clearly defined measurable outcomes. 

In Garrycastle Campus, courses will be delivered in a training environment that replicates the workplace and is equipped to the best industry standard. Training undertaken by learners is a hands on approach to learning, with tasks and project work linked to defined outcomes with incremental levels of complexity.

Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is two to four years in duration. It is an earn as you learn programme with staged phases – some in training and minimum 50% on the job learning. Some qualifications lead to an award at Levels 5 to 10 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). Apprentices are recruited by an employer and then registered to SOLAS by LWETB.

Enterprise Engagement

LWETB Enterprise Engagement Unit works with employers and enterprises to support them in ensuring their businesses can keep space in an ever-changing environment. We can also work with companies to develop flexible bespoke and tailored training solutions for their individual needs.

Test Centre

Garrycastle Campus is an approved Test Centre for Pearson Vue, Certiport and City & Guilds. Testers have access for professional licensure and certification exams with on-site instructor to support registration, exam scheduling and logistics.

We offer Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) courses in Beauty Therapy, Business Studies with Digital Media Marketing , Pre Accounting Technician, Community Health Services and so much more.

Marlinstown Campus

Welcome to Marlinstown Campus

Marlinstown Campus is located in Block A, Marlinstown Business Park, just outside Mullingar town. Our campus is easily accessible from the main N4 / N52 intersection. 

We offer QQI accreditation at levels 1-3, but our main aim is to provide a safe, comfortable learning space for learners who may be nervous.  We have a team of skilled, friendly tutors who will put you at ease and make learning a good experience for you.

We have a canteen and students can get involved in coffee mornings and enjoy educational trips as the social element to learning is very much a part of the campus.

Welcome to Delvin Campus

Our campus is located on the main street in the heart of Delvin village. Learners come to us from surrounding towns and villages, a radius of approx. 20 miles.

We offer a range of learning opportunities, certified at QQI levels 3 to 5. Our staff provide a learning environment where learners can excel academically and socially in safe and secure surroundings. We try to ensure that learners enjoy their time here and depart with more knowledge, skills and confidence, to enable them to continue their educational journey, progression to further education, an apprenticeship, or employment.

Our campus is easily accessible; the local bus route passes our front door. Our comfortable and modern facility includes a large kitchen, IT room, Art room, and general learning rooms. Our learners receive training and travel allowances. We offer work experience placements and study laptops with access to Office 365.

You will find us in the Midlands Gateway Business Park, Kilbeggan.  Our college is walking distance from Kilbeggan Town.  Our aim is to assist and support young people in gaining qualifications that will allow them to apply for third level education, apprenticeships or enter the world of work.  While our learners are gaining their qualifications, they are also supported in building vital social/life skills. 

Learners receive a training allowance which assists them with transport costs and meals.  Our team is dedicated to the development of our learners both academically & socially and we strive to help learners reach their full potential.
