The Learner Support Service helps students who may need extra help with their learning, wellbeing support. We also provide access to tools and technology to support you during their course.

The goal of the Learner Support Service is to ensure that, as far as is reasonably practicable all learners are provided with the supports needed to successfully participate in their course.

Any learner who is finding part of their course challenging can ask for support.

You can fill out our online registration form or talk to your tutor or centre staff, who can help you get started. 

Supports may include help with reading, writing, maths, using computers, studying, wellbeing, assistive technology, or advice on career and education options.

Yes. All learner support services provided by LWETB are free to learners.

Yes. Everything you share with the Learner Support Team is treated confidentially and only shared with relevant staff involved in supporting you.

No. You don’t need a formal diagnosis. If you feel you’re struggling, you can still ask for support.

If your course requires a device and you don’t have access to one, you may be able to borrow a laptop through our Laptop Loan Scheme. Your course co-ordinator will help you with this. 

No. Asking for help will not affect your course place. Reasonable accommodation for examinations will require a formal diagnostic report from a recognised professional. 

Yes. Supports can be adjusted, paused, or stopped at any time. The service is flexible and centred around your needs.
